What is the red light?

Red and infrared light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, is a treatment that uses lights of specific wavelengths to promote health and well-being.

What are the benefits of red light?

From a medical point of view, red light therapy has multiple benefits for both health and skin quality:

  • Promotes rejuvenation and helps treat acne.
  • Supports muscle and bone recovery.
  • Improves blood circulation.
  • Reduces joint pain and inflammation.
  • Reduces stress and mental fatigue.

But why does all this happen? Let me explain in more detail:

  • The red light wave penetrates your skin and regenerates cells.
  • Improves cell signaling.
  • Improves mitochondrial ATP production.
  • Reduces levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
  • Decreases oxidative stress.

Do the panels have any negative or side effects?

Infrared panels are completely safe. In fact, the far-infrared rays they emit are the same as those the human body produces naturally and have benefits for circulation and overall well-being. They do not emit harmful UV radiation or electromagnetic waves.

We recommend not looking directly at them or wearing eye protection (which comes included with the panel); it may be uncomfortable but it will not damage your eyesight . If you experience discomfort, simply reduce the intensity or adjust the distance.

Is red light the same as infrared light?

No, red light and infrared light are not the same because they act at different depths within the body.
Red light works on the outermost layers, such as the skin and tissues near the surface. Infrared light, on the other hand, penetrates deeper, reaching muscles and joints.

That's why they are often combined: one acts externally and the other internally.

Our panel uses both wavelengths:

– 660 nanometer red light, designed for skin and superficial stimulation.

– 850 nanometer infrared light, which reaches deeper layers to support muscle and joint recovery.

This achieves a more comprehensive effect with a single device.

How long should I use the panel in each session?

There is no strict limit. You can use it for as long as you need, since red light does not alter melatonin production or interfere with sleep, but therapy is usually 30-40 minutes daily. More doesn't seem necessary, and results have been seen with as little as 10-15 minutes.

Does it consume a lot of electricity?

No. Although they are powerful, their energy consumption is usually moderate and similar to that of other small appliances.

Our Krudo RS3 panel consumes 120W, which means the device uses 0.12 kWh per hour. If you use it for about 40–60 minutes, the consumption is practically negligible.
